FAQs

Do I get a refund if I have to cancel a training course?

Courses are secured by paying a deposit, which is non-refundable and non-transferable to courses or products. Cancellations within 3 weeks of the course date and No Shows will incur the full cost of the course fees.  Please click here for our full list of Terms and Conditions.

When is the balance on a course due?

Courses should be paid for in full no later than 3 weeks before the course date, unless prior arrangements have been made with UK Holistics, or an instalment plan has been agreed.

Do you offer payment plans?

Payments can be made in instalments throughout the length of attending any course.  Entering into an instalment plan will mean that no other discounts can be offered.

Is there any accommodation close by if I need to stay overnight?

Yes, there is. We’ve compiled a list of accommodation which is conveniently situated near to the Training School. You can see the list here.

Do I need insurance to offer my services professionally?

Yes you do and we have arranged a very competitive Block Insurance Scheme through Balens Limited.  Considerable savings are made when insuring yourself through a Block Scheme, rather than as an individual. Please click here for details.

Is there any further support available, once I’ve completed a course?

Yes ongoing support is offered via emails, telephone calls, personal visits to the school, plus a wide range of additional courses to enhance learning.

Do I need to update my qualifications every year/every few years?

It is good practice to do so.  Also many organisations have requirements that students/therapists should gain CPD points.  CPD stands for Continual Professional Development.  Therapists gain CPD points by attending courses, health exhibitions, giving talks, watching DVDs, reading appropriate books, plus many other routes.

What CPD points do I gain by attending your courses?

CPD stands for Continual Professional Development .  Organisations have different interpretations of how CPD points are gained.  In general terms a student will earn 1 Point for each Theory hour and 2 Points for each Practical hour.  But some organisations allow a maximum of 5 points per day.  Therapists are generally expected to attend the equivalent of 2 days learning in any year.
